...On the road again.....and again
Day 2 of our journey began with a coolish start, we hit the road at about 8:30, and headed along the Highway to Keith and beyong.
Traffic on the highway was relatively light, nad we made good progress, in spite of a blustery wind, and short showers.
We left the highway at Murray Bridge, and skirted around central Adelaide, via Gawler where we stopped for a bite of lunch and some playground time.
We rejoined the highway near Two Wells and continued towards Crystal Brook for our overnight stop.
During this leg of the trip Tracey took the controls of the Navara, piloting the team, overtaking a couple of road trains, and negotiating some very windy conditions.
We set ourselves up in the Crystal Brook Caravan Park, and settled in for a well earned rest afetr a 475Km day.
Well you can't say that the locals don't have a sense of humour.........no swimming....yeah right......
Day 3 on the road saw us depart Crystal Brook at about 8:30, and point the vehicles toward Port Augusta, and points west.
After a fuel stop at Port Augusta, our next stop was a coffee break in the beautiful streets of Iron Knob.
After taking in the many sights of Iron Knob, we continued on our way, and arraved at Kimba, just in time for lunch.
Zander was fascinated by the wildlife and had a brief encounter with this fox. The rest of the crew took in the other attraction at Kimba...The Big Galah.....(it's the pink one)

We arrived at Streak Bay at abour 4:30, found our allotted spots in the caravan park, set up and have settled in for a cpouple of days. It will be good to have some time off from driving, after a couple of big days.
