...on to Albany

We woke to a cool and (once again) windy morning.  Packed up camp and headed towarda Albany.

Apart from the head wind and occasional shower the trip was uneventful.  We arrived in Albany just before lunch, found the caravan park and set up.

We took a tour of the CBD, then after lunch drove out to the historic whaling station.

It is a fascinating place, although I think Bev was getting ideas.....

....luckily she couldn't swing it around enough to get me.

Thar she blows....

The station closed down in 1978, and the history of whaling in the area has been preserved.  In spite of its industrial history it is a very picturesque location.

A Pygmy Blue Whale skeleton...

After an interesting afternoon we made our way back to the van and settled in, it seems that the next couple of days are going to be cool and damp.....
