....and they're off!

It's a bright and early start on Easter Saturday, we daparted home at about 10 am and headed towards Bacchus Marsh, and the Western Freeway, then in the direction of South Australia.

Whilst Sam and Tracey have elected for the La Mans start, Bev and I have chosen the traditional start...we'll see how that works out......

Heading off with full fuel, water, etc, it will be interesting to see how the vehicles compare with fuel economy and such, hopefully we will have favourable winds for the trip.

As we are in no rush,we are aiming to be in Bordertown for an overnight stay, so there is plenty of time for stops along the way.

As Zander was having a quite kip, we travelled the western Highway, and had a pit stop at stawell.   After a brief fuel and food stop we continued on towards Bordertown.

The weather has been overcast for the trip, and we encountered light and intermittent showers near the S.A. Border.

Both vehicles have performed well and we arrived in bordertown at abot 4:25 pm (SA time)

As we are only here overnight the set-up in minimalistic.

It is clear that this are has had no rain for some time, as the RV parking area is very dry and dusty....but this hasn't seemed to bother Zander, who has found shovelling dust ito his truck fairly easy....well he got some in his truck....

So it's time for a rest and a beverage, a quiet night, and continue westward in the morning.....
